Registration information
Registration is now OPEN.
Please register through the NAM2023 registration page.
NAM2023 is a hybrid conference, with both in-person and online attendance options.
Anyone wishing to attend the conference is required to register before the appropriate closing date for registration:
- 23:59 BST (UTC+1) on Monday 5th June 2023 for participants presenting their work as a talk or poster
- 23:59 BST (UTC+1) on Friday 16th June 2023 for general attendance
Please note: There will be no opportunity for on-site registration at the conference venue excepting special arrangements made for members of the press.
Attendees wishing to attend in person may opt to register for a full week (3rd - 7th July) or may purchase an individual day pass. Attendees who have registered for an individual day pass will need to select the exact day of attendance during registration. Passes are required to be worn at all times during the conference and may be collected from the Welcome Desk on arrival.
For attendees who will only attend online, we offer registration for the full week.
Attendees who plan to attend some of the conference in person and some online should register for the appropriate in-person options ONLY, as all in-person registration includes full access to the online platform for the full week.

We are offering both in-person and online attendance options. The registration fees for these options have been set to allow Cardiff University to organise NAM2023 at a sustainable level while trying to keep costs down. Conference registration is priced as follows:

Support
We hope that most career astronomers engaged at research and educational institutions in the UK and abroad would be able to attend at these rates. However, we recognize the existence of structural barriers for members of traditionally marginalized communities and for individuals facing financial hardship in securing the requisite funding, mentorship, and support that might enable them to attend meetings like this one.
We are offering a limited number of scholarships in the form of partial or full fee waivers for attendance at NAM2023. These are only available to postgraduate and undergraduate students. In addition, the RAS is also offering grant funding for delegates with caring responsibilites.
For information about available support, please visit the Grants & Bursaries page.
Fee waivers of invited speakers
Fee waivers are available to plenary speakers only.
Speakers invited to present in parallel sessions should register for the conference and pay registration fees as normal.
Altering your registration
If you wish to alter your registration details in any way, please contact the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Your registration may be switched to an alternative delegate, provided that the alternative would not have incurred a higher registration fee (e.g. a student registration cannot be transferred to an alternative non-student delegate), at any time before Friday 30th June 2023.
You may switch from online to in-person attendance at any time before Friday 16th June 2023. In this situation you will be required to pay the difference between your online registration fee and the appropriate in-person registration fee. If you wish to switch in this way, please contact the LOC for information on how to do so. After this time, it will not be possible to switch from online to in-person attendance.
In exceptional circumstances, we will also consider requests for switch from in-person to online attendance, before Friday the 16th June. Please contact the LOC if this is the case and we will provide you with your options. After the 16th June, it will no longer be possible to switch from in-person to on-line attendance. Note, however, that your in-person attendance will give you access to all the online content as well.
Cancelling your registration
If you wish to withdraw from the meeting, please contact the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
If you cancel your registration before the 16th June, you will be refunded your registration fee minus a £25 administration fee. If you wish to cancel your registration after the 16th June, no refund will be issued.
Instead of cancelling your registration you may transfer it to another attendee, or switch between in-person and online attendance. Please see 'Altering your registration' above for information.
Full Terms and Conditions for registration can be viewed in the registration page.
