Block Schedule

❗ Please note: The calendar downloadable through iCal is not displaying the timezone correctly (sessions are shifted by 1h). Please follow the times as displayed in this webpage.

Sign-in and Help Desk

Sign-in (i.e. receiving your participant lanyard and welcome pack) and help will be available from the Help Desk for the entire duration of the conference day (opening at 8:00 on Monday, and at 08.30 on Tuesday to Friday). In addition, the Help Desk will also be available at the Welcome Reception on Sunday.

You only need to sign-in once, and you may do so whenever the Help Desk is open, but you must sign-in before going to any conference sessions or events. For single-day participants, the Help Desk will be open in the half-hour before the sessions begin (08.30-09.00) so that you may sign-in before your day begins!

Lunch

Lunch is provided for all participants over two floors of the common area of the CSL building (levels 3 and 4). We have ensured that there is a half-hour of lunch each day that does not overlap with any sessions. If you wish to go to a lunch session (in particular if the lunch session you wish to attend is in the Sir Martin Evans Building or in the Sir Stanley Thomas lecture theatre), you will need to have your lunch during that half-hour. Details of the lunch sessions can be found in the calender and towards the end of the list of Parallel Sessions. If you do not wish to attend a lunch session, you will have a full hour and a half to take a break!

Please note: Our kitchens regularly handle a range of products which include those specified in the dietary requirements. Although the Chefs will take extra care in preparing food items for dietary requirements, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination wouldn’t occur. If you have allergy or dietary requirement, please speak to a member of the catering team when going through the service, who will be able to advise food ingredients/allergens.

Parallel Sessions

A breakdown of parallel sessions is now available on the block schedule below. You can view the description for these sessions on the Parallel Sessions page.

Posters

Posters will be displayed in the common area of the CSL building, on level 2. Posters will be grouped by session and will be assigned a unique identifier. The maximum allowed size is A0 portrait or A1 landscape.

All the coffee and lunch breaks will take place in the common areas of the CSL building, thus close to the poster area to encourage poster viewings. There is also a dedicated Poster Viewing session on Wednesday from 1pm-2pm, and two poster competitions whose prizes will be awarded at the Conference and RAS Awards dinner, on Wednesday evening. Full details on the poster session and poster prizes can be found here.

Plenary talks

There will be two daily Plenary talks, which will take place in the main theatre of the CSL. Speakers, titles and abstracts can be found in the Plenary talks page.
