NAM 2023 - Origins
Scientific Rationale
NAM2023 aims to provide a space for the UK astronomy community to come together. The scientific sessions are proposed by the attendees and allow discussion of the key results that are driving our field. In this NAM we have added the opportunity for a sub-set of these sessions to be larger in scope, allowing for more in-depth coverage of exciting areas that match the theme of “Origins”, interpreted broadly. In addition, sessions at NAM2023 will highlight key issues relevant to the UK astronomical community, such as sustainability, engagement, diversity and inclusion. We hope you will join us.
Have a look at the list of plenary talks and parallel sessions running at NAM2023, including the Key "Origins" sessions, Regular sessions, and Specialist lunch sessions. You can also check out the preliminary block schedule (subject to change) for the full programme of planned activities.
General abstract submissions have closed on the 24th April, and the organisers of each session are currently in process of reviewing those. Delegates can expect to hear back from the session organisers by mid-May about the outcome of their submission. If you did not submit an abstract before the deadline closed, but wish to be considered for a poster, please get in touch directly with the organisers of your session as soon as possible, so that they include your contribution. Acceptance of late arrivals is at the discretion of organisers of each session.
General registration is now OPEN!
The general registration for NAM2023 will close on the 5th of June for presenting delegates, and the 16th June for general attendance. For an overview of the timeline of NAM2023, check out the Key Dates on the front page.
